Thanksgiving is upon us again already. Where has the time gone?
It is a time for gratitude, delicious food and fun times with our loved ones. However, it can quickly turn chaotic and stressful if you’re not well prepared. You can rely on me, you're #spacecoasthomeorganizer to help you through.
As a professional #homeorganizer, I'm here to share some expert advice and suggestions on how to get your holiday #organized and ensure that it’s a smooth and enjoyable celebration.
The first thing you should do is create a check list. Who doesn’t love a good check list? A good checklist will help you stay on track and reduces last-minute stress. Click below to download my checklist.
You’ll see that this checklist includes:
A guest list so you know who is coming to your home.
The menu. Create a separate menu and include the items you are making and note items that guests will bring. You don’t have to do it all yourself!
A grocery list, what do you need to buy and when.
Decorating and cleaning tasks.
Before diving into holiday decorating, its a good time to give your home a deep clean. You can do this yourself or hire a cleaner. And have a good #declutter at the same time. If you are doing it yourself, tackle one room at a time to avoid feeling overwhelmed. And, if you are hiring help, get it booked right away so you don’t miss out.
Now let’s focus on your kitchen, Check your cookware, utensils and serving dishes to ensure that you have everything you’ll need and that its easily accessible. This will streamline the cooking process.
Plan your Thanksgiving meal well in advance. Don’t forget to consider dietary restrictions of your guests. Create a timeline for cooking and prepare as much as you can the day before to minimize stress on the big day.
Shop for as much as you can well in advance and don’t stress if you forgot something. It happens to the best of us!
Some other things to plan ahead to make the most of the holiday:
Plan entertainment and fun activities to keep everyone engaged and don’t forget to break out the board games.
Be sure to ask for help from guests. People love to be involved.
And most importantly the more you can do ahead of time will lead to a more relaxing and fun time.
Remember the most important part of #Thanksgiving is spending quality time with loved ones.
With proper organization and preparation, you can ensure a stress-free #Thanksgiving celebration. Follow these #tips to keep your day running smoothly so you can focus on what truly matters - giving thanks and enjoying the company of family and friends.
Happy Thanksgiving-
